I moved to St. Augustine, Florida from Columbus, Ohio 20 years ago when I married my husband, David. We now have two awesome kids, ages 18 and 15 who keep us on our toes! I love to be in the kitchen in any capacity, entertain, having dance parties with my family, watching the ocean, fishing with my family, losing days in a good book (probably something about pregnancy or birth!). Lately, my sweet mother has been teaching me the art of gardening- a long time dream of mine.

I am a seasoned doula and have been practicing as a Doula in St. Augustine and Jacksonville for over 5 years.

My role as a Doula is to support. Support comes in many forms: physical and emotional, education, thoughtfulness, to empower, advocate, comfort, to laugh with, a shoulder to cry on- whatever you need. I do not have an agenda; I support you and your family in whatever choices or preferences you have. However, I do have a goal. My focus is on gentle, calm, and peaceful childbirth and my goal is to provide you with a safe atmosphere where you feel confident, peaceful, and prepared for the birth of your baby. This is a life changing time and my hope is for you to feel heard, supported and empowered. I am a natural networker having unlimited resources and have been studying pregnancy, childbirth, and babies since I learned how to read. I am a member of North Florida Doulas with a combined experience of over 200 years.

I am a certified DONA International Doula, a Certified HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Education instructor, trained in lactation, trained in Spinning Babies, and complete continuing education units each year keeping my DONA International Doula certification current. Besides being with my family, being a part of someone’s pregnancy and birth story is my absolute favorite thing. I have experience with intervention free birth, vbac, cesarean, single parents, teens, remote, homebirth, preemies, twins and high risk pregnancies. My true journey as a Doula began with the birth of my daughter 18 years ago. I love her birth story because it is hers and I was left wanting other women to know that they have choices, to empower them to take control and create their own dream birth, and to know that I am here holding space for them.
